Welcome to Melbourne Family Hub!

I am a born and bred Melburnian Nanny, Babysitter and Tutor.

I grew up in Kew, the eldest of four children, with a very talented Primary School teaching Mum. I was often described as a bossy sister who always enforced her rules as a second Mum! My tendencies for organisation and planning have given me the reputation as the ‘Mum to all’ amongst friends, especially with my ‘Mary Poppins’ handbag ready for any trip out – perfume, Panadol, band-aids, hair ties, snacks, bobby pins, and pens!

At the age of fourteen, I created my first babysitting advertisement to save up for a student exchange to Japan. I met the Young family, Lucas family, Bennett family, Schuster family, Tsekouras family, Gorman family and many, many more!

From an early age, I knew my real passion was working with people, especially children. I studied a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at La Trobe University and developed a keen interest in Child Psychology. In 2006, during my studies, I was presented with the unique opportunity to nanny for Professional Golfers on the international golfing circuit. I packed my suitcase, jumped on a plane and began my journey as a travelling nanny. I never picked up a golf club but I took care of children from France, Italy, Ireland, England, Sweden, New Zealand, America, South Africa and Australia along the way.

Life as a travelling nanny couldn’t last forever, so I returned home and discovered that my reputation as a nanny had sky-rocketed in my absence. Within a few days I was fully booked to nanny and tutor for Melbourne-based families. In response to a constant stream of requests from parents, I created Melbourne Family Hub.

As a (now) part-time nanny and the leader of the Melbourne Family Hub team, I look forward to introducing you to welcoming and loving families who are seeking your help.

Bonnie

Bonnie is always so clear in her communication both individually and as a team. I love that jobs are communicated on a daily basis and if you have the availability you can opt in to work. I love that each family and the babysitter always get a copy of the terms and conditions of the booking along with the babysitter’s video message. It has been relayed to me on more than one occasion by the parents that they love watching the video messages and showing the kids so their family are comfortable before meeting their babysitter

"We were very happy with Leven's care of F. In fact, he has to "share an experience" today at child care, and he has decided to tell his class and teachers about what a fun night he had with Leven! Thanks for your assistance."
- Catherine, Richmond -
"Jess was just lovely and we were very happy with her care. We would be delighted to have her sit again should the need arise. Thank you for arranging."
- Bec & Ollie, Albert Park -
"Thank you so much Bonnie. Bethany was lovely. We really appreciate that you were able to organise someone so great for us at such short notice."

I love working with kids, it is something I am so passionate about, so when one of my friends recommended MFH I immediately contacted Bonnie to see if I could join the team. What I most love about MFH is having the opportunity to babysit for families and meeting lots of fun and friendly little kiddies. The best part of MFH is the communication from Bonnie to the team, keeping us posted daily about new roles and opportunities and the option to reply and advise if you are available for a job or not. It is a great way to earn some extra cash, be part of a great team and meet some amazing families
